The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation represented at the Social Enterprise World Forum 2019,Ethiopia

At the invitation of the British Council, The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation was fully represented at the 2019 Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF), held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from October 21- 25, 2019, by Richard Catheral, the Foundation's Director of International Partnerships and Dr. Emmanuel Ande Ivorgba, the Foundation's President. The theme of the 2019 SEWF, the first to be held in a developing country was: Showing Local Traditions blended with Fresh Perspectives

The Education and Academic Symposium of the Social Enterprise World Forum was hosted by the British Council at the Hilton Addis Ababa on Monday, October 21, 2019. The Symposium was designed to create opportunity to learn and share innovative practices and experiences framed around the role that social enterprise is playing and how practitioners and academics can collaborate for greater social impact. The Symposium witnessed several academic presentations/workshops, among which was the workshop co-presented by Richard Catherall and Dr. Emmanuel Ande Ivorgba on Transition from a Donor-Funded Model to an Affordable Primary and Secondary Social Enterprise School. Dr. Emmanuel Ivorgba also participated in the Panel Debate Investing in Young People as Change Makers, moderated by Juliet Cornford of the British Council
